What’s in a Name

The beginning – Studio1-37 Logo

Our story begins with two people a he and she, that make us, who are often far apart, love God dearly and begin each morning with devotion and Bible study. Some time ago we began in separate places to both read devotions from two different entities stating the importance in memorizing scripture. We both thought that is nice but felt it could not be done and internally utilized a multitude of excuses.

But God’s plan was different and convicted both our hearts with that devotion staying on our minds throughout the day. The more thought put forth the more each of us felt this was something important that we must do. So a plan hatched unknowingly by each and then expressed and explored during a conversation the following night. The scripture memorization seemed almost impossible to us, which is why the first scripture we chose to memorize was Luke 1:37;

For nothing is impossible with God. (NLT)

The plan launched with the rules and goal. We chose art journaling to achieve the end results of scripture memorization because of our visual fine art backgrounds. As time passed the realization came that these beautiful scripture words with pages full of meaning created and learned through worship using art needed a special storage place.

Exploring the vision fully and encouraged by friends we moved forward with an idea that these chosen verses will be held in a special book and a hand-bound scripture journal was born.

The vision grew and a new life direction pointed out that all our art is to be dedicated with purpose back to God as it is He that has gifted it. It seemed only fitting that Luke 1:37 would be the signature verse as we faithfully believe that nothing is impossible with God. If this is God’s purpose we know that He will work this for His good for the Bible clearly tells us in Romans 8:28;

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” (NLT)

So we dedicate Studio1 – 37 to God for whom nothing is impossible.
