Accomplish Much with Christ!

Do you often feel overwhelmed with all your tasks and can’t seem to get anything done? When I get to this point I realize that my focus is not where it needs to be for I am trying to accomplish tasks on my own and without Christ. It is time for me to refocus my direction at this point and accomplish things with Christ and not alone.This week our focus Bible verse is

John 15:5;

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” (NLT)

Now isn’t that the truth as we can’t do anything eternally meaningful if we are separated from God? This world thinks we can and tells us so. We have been told it is up to us what we do with our life and although that is true as God does give us free will just what exactly are we accomplishing here or eternally without God. Hmm, I am guessing it will not be too pleasant or productive.

But look at what we can accomplish with God and we can have it on this earth; answered prayer, joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, knowledge, patient endurance, Godliness, and affection for everyone. Don’t take my word for it see for yourself in John 15:7, 11,12; Galatians 5:22 – 24; 2 Peter 1:5-8.

We can receive so many gifts by simply remaining in and with Jesus. We become better people here on earth and that will ultimately follow us to eternity. God doesn’t expect us to just walk with Him on the big stuff but the little things too. So whether we are speaking before a group or just doing the laundry we should depend on Christ to walk hand in hand with us on every task.

So this week we focus and remember to stay committed to Christ so we will produce the fruits of the spirit and Christian character we need to do God’s will here on earth along with the tasks we must accomplish in our day-to-day lives.

Have a great fruitful filled week and peace with the laundry or whatever tasks you may need to accomplish big or small.

Love in Christ,

E-J
