Satisfaction Guaranteed! Finding the Real Life Guarantee

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. Jeremiah 31:25 (NIV)

Satisfaction

Seeking Satisfaction

The jumpy techno beat canned music sang loudly in my ear as I continued to wait on hold watching the minutes roll past. So far I had pushed countless buttons on my dial keypad but had yet to speak to an actual human. Tested was my patience as the wait became longer and I began to hum my own music. It echoed the musical version of the Rolling Stones’ song; ”I can’t get no satisfaction. ”˜Cause I try and I try and I try and I try. I can’t get no; I can’t get no…”

Touted in the business world today, like penny candy, are the words satisfaction guaranteed. But unfortunately they rarely satisfy. Advocated to be of number one importance is customer service but yet the words often do not depict the experiences. It is good however to know that in this world of dissatisfaction that there is a real life satisfaction guarantee. This real guarantee is found only in one place and that is through Jesus Christ. Through Him we can satisfy the thirst and hunger that our souls need through the peace that He provides.

The Source

It is with Jesus that you can find hope for restoration and permanent joy no matter what circumstances you may find yourself in. Life satisfaction comes by allowing Christ to take full control and then living your life for Him. Permitting Him to live through you will restore your soul. For there is nothing else on earth that provides the rest you need or that will fulfil your soul with purpose like Christ.

It is often difficult in a world that promises satisfaction to not try to fill the need from other sources. However, it is important to recognize that it is only in His arms that you will find the satisfaction you so desire and the rest your soul longs for. Being satisfied begins with the knowledge that your soul needs spiritual food and water and just as you don’t deprive your body of nourishment you shouldn’t deprive your soul.

Quick Steps to a Life Guarantee

Once you acknowledge that only Jesus can satisfy your soul then you can pursue the necessary two steps for satisfaction. It begins with commitment followed by trust. Knowing that once you follow Him fully you will find the satisfaction you need with the refreshment you so desire. Putting Him first and the world last changes your attitude and the way you see things. Continuing to go through these steps assures you that Jesus is the only thing that will refresh you and give you the satisfaction that your life craves.

God loves you and He wants your soul to be satisfied. He grants you what you need through Jesus. You can be confident that God knows your desires but you must ask. A little boy knelt down to say his bedtime prayers and began reciting the alphabet in reverent tones. When asked what he was doing, he replied, ”I’m saying my prayers but I can’t think of the exact words tonight. So, I’m just saying all the letters. God knows what I need, and he’ll put all the words together for me.” That is true satisfaction at work.

Soul Satisfaction

He does indeed know your needs and provides security for your soul in eternity. Won’t you be convicted to trust in Jesus to satisfy your soul permanently and seek what you desire in life? Find motivation in knowing that there are only three things in the world that last; faith, hope, and love. Faith is the foundation, hope is the attitude and focus. But of all of these it is the action of love that is the greatest and it is with Jesus that you find the greatest love and the best example to follow for true soul satisfaction.

Won’t you satisfy your soul?  Find rest and comfort knowing that through your commitment and trust to Him you hold a permanent life guarantee to satisfaction in not only this world but in the world to come.

Love in Christ,

E.J.

Postscript

In life ”“ ”Satisfaction is better than success because success is a measure decided by others, while satisfaction is a measure decided by us.”

True satisfaction though only comes when you put your trust in Christ.
